1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CoursePiracy ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CoursePiracy provides AI-powered piracy detection for online course creators. The Service scans publicly accessible websites, torrent indexes, Telegram channels, and file-sharing platforms to identify unauthorized copies of your digital courses. We generate reports and provide DMCA takedown guidance.

3. Account Terms

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one account
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit courses for scanning that you do not own or have rights to
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or infringe on others' rights
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or access the source code of the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service beyond normal usage patterns
  • File false DMCA claims using information from our reports

5. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your course content. By using the Service, you grant CoursePiracy a limited license to access and analyze your submitted course URLs solely for the purpose of piracy detection. We do not store, redistribute, or modify your course content.

6. Scan Results & Reports

Piracy scan results are provided on an "as-is" basis. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all piracy instances will be detected or that all detected instances represent actual copyright infringement. You are responsible for verifying scan results before taking legal action.

7. Payment Terms

Paid features are billed through our payment processor (Polar). Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Refunds may be issued at our discretion within 14 days of purchase if the Service does not perform as described.

8. Limitation of Liability

CoursePiracy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data after 30 days.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
